These are some of the cards sent to my Mother, Grandmother and my Uncle,  by my Grandfather from France before he was killed in action during the 1914-18 war. His name is in the Book of Remembrance at Lincoln Cathedral and on the Cenotaph in Lincoln city centre. Click HERE to listen to the sound of Lincoln Cathedral bells.

These cards are in  beautiful silk embroidery. Similar cards were sent by the British forces serving in France in the First War to their loved ones. These post cards are over 85 years old. These are exactly as you see them with the naked eye. I could have touched them up in Paint Shop Pro but I wanted to display them in their original condition.
